On the evening of April 12th, 2020, as I was getting ready for bed, I heard a voice in my head say "get on Facebook Marketplace and search for Cadillac." At the time I was NOT searching for a new Cadillac, I had too many vehicles and unfinished projects already. I had always dreamed of owning big finned Caddy, but never thought that I would have one. But the voice in my head rarely leads me astray, so I typed it in. I scrolled through the results. The last Caddy that popped up was a 1962 Cadillac Series 62, sitting in a barn 5 miles from my house. The next morning, I told my wife about it over coffee. I negotiated the deal, and brought her home that night. The car was complete, and with the addition of a fuel pump, was running. I was able to drive it off of the trailer and into the garage. In the back seat I found a folder with all of the original owners receipts and notes. He had taken meticulous care of the car while he had it. Inside of the trunk I found rolls of the factory seat material and vynil, spare shocks, spare radiator hoses, and the original service manual. I then spent the next two years making her into a resto-mod.
